We are still building these pages. Sections marked Pending are waiting on legal review and will be filled in before paid plans open. The data processing agreement for hotels will be posted when it is final.
This policy explains what Bit and Bearing LLC ("Bit & Bearing", "we") collects, why, and the choices you have. For information a hotel puts into the app, such as work orders, room numbers and staff details, the hotel decides how it is used and we handle it on the hotel's behalf. Questions: support@bitandbearing.com.

What we don't do
We do not sell or rent personal information, we do not show ads, and we do not use customer information to train AI models. The app uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in.
Text messages
We send SMS text messages only for sign-in codes and the work alerts your hotel turns on. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Who we share it with
Only the companies on our Subprocessors page, and only so they can help run the app. We may disclose information if the law requires it, and we will tell the hotel first unless the law forbids it.
Voice on phones and watches
When someone taps the mic, the phone or watch's own speech service (for example, Google on Android) turns speech into text before it reaches us. That step is covered by the device maker's privacy terms.
Where it is stored
Our application server and database are in the United States.
How long we keep it
A hotel's information is kept while the hotel uses the app. After a hotel cancels, we delete its information within 60 days, and copies in our nightly backups age out within 30 days after that. Before leaving, an Owner can export everything as a ZIP file.
Your choices
Staff and guests can ask their hotel, or us, to see, correct or delete their information. We will help the hotel respond.

Children
The app is for businesses and is not meant for children under 13.
Changes
We will post changes on this page and email hotel Owners about important ones.
